Asthma in children

Eating whole grains works very well for children with asthma. A study done in the Netherlands at the universities of Utrecht and Groningen examined 598 children between 8 and 13 years old. The researchers saw no link between the consumption of milk products, fruit and vegetables. That in itself is strange because other studies did see a connection in vitamin C and E intake and asthma. The Dutch researchers demonstrated that there is a relationship between asthma and eating cereals and fish. The fewer grains and fish children ate, the more chance there is that asthma develops in the child. There is a 20% greater chance of asthma if you eat little fish and whole grains.
